This girls' swimsuit has it all - comfortable fit, elastic fabric, and a deep-colored print that won't fade in the sun and water. The double-layered front, bias binding, and 38–40 UPF ensure that the kids can be their active selves, and the parents don't have to worry about any wardrobe malfunctions.
You’re probably aware how damaging the sun’s rays can be—that’s why sunscreen is on every packing list for every outdoor trip ever. It’s why we often wear sun hats and sun shirts outdoors. But did you know that different materials—even different colored fabrics—offer different amounts of protection from the sun’s damaging rays?
What is UPF?
UPF is the textile rating system that rates the amount of ultraviolet radiation blocked by the fabric. UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor, and it’s used to rate apparel—it’s not applied directly to the skin. There are three categories for labeling UPF garments: Good is 15-24%, Very Good is 25-39%, and Excellent is 40-50+%.
• 82% polyester, 18% spandex
• UPF 38–40
• Double-layered front
• Four-way stretch material stretches and recovers on the cross and lengthwise grains
• Bias binding in black or white
• Sewn with an overlock stitch
• Smooth and comfortable microfiber yarn
Please note that contact with rough surfaces and velcro fasteners should be avoided since they can pull out the white fibers in the fabric, damaging the swimsuit’s appearance.
